Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially: amitriptyline, carbamazepine, metformin, phenytoin, pioglitazone, risperidone, oxycontin pill acid, "water pills" (diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide, acetazolamide, dichlorphenamide), other drugs that cause decreased sweating (e.g., anticholinergics such as belladonna alkaloids/scopolamine, antihistamines such as hydroxyzine, phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine). Patients should be informed that Celebrex can lead to the onset of new hypertension or worsening of preexisting hypertension, and that Celebrex may impair the response of some antihypertensive agents. In general, the use of Oxycontin in women of childbearing potential, and more specifically during known pregnancy, should be considered only when the clinical situation warrants the risk to the fetus. Long-term studies in animals to evaluate carcinogenic potential have not been conducted with Bactrim.
