If the results of the oxycontin withdrawal test are inconclusive, careful follow-up and subsequent testing will be necessary. While there have been reports of abnormal bleeding or purpura in several patients taking ZOLOFT, it is unclear whether ZOLOFT had a causative role. Patients taking digoxin should be monitored appropriately when oxycontin is initiated [See CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY]. Increased frequencies of sister chromatid exchange (SCE) have been reported in a study of epileptic children taking valproate, but this association was not observed in another study conducted in adults. The oral median lethal dose of oxycontin in rats is > 5000 mg/kg. Niacin can sometimes cause flushing and dizziness. These events are not necessarily related to oxycontin crush treatment. RISPERDAL® M-TAB® Orally Disintegrating Tablets are available in 0.5 mg (light coral), 1 mg (light coral), 2 mg (light coral), 3 mg (coral), and 4 mg (coral) strengths. In all US OXYCONTIN clinical trials as of May 8, 1995, 0.7% of 10,782 patients reported mania/hypomania [see Use in Specific Populations]. Dosage adjustment is therefore not needed in these patients.
