Theophylline: When OXYCONTIN was administered concomitantly with theophylline (CYP1A2, CYP3A), a minor increase (10%) in the clearance of theophylline was seen. Lithium: Generic Oxycontin 40 mg BID for 7 days produced significant decreases in lithium serum clearance (25%) and renal clearance (30%) with a 34% higher serum exposure compared to lithium alone. This drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Because of experience with other members of the benzodiazepine class, Oxycontin is assumed to be capable of causing an increased risk of congenital abnormalities when administered to a pregnant woman during the first trimester.
